Transgender Day Of Remembrance

Its Monday, November 20th. The 15th Annual NoVA TDOR is 7PM tonight at Unity of Fairfax.
We remember. https://unityoffairfax.org/live
Video Stream is archived afterwards in the right hand column.

This will be the 15th year that TGEA has sponsored the Northern Virginia Interfaith Transgender Day of Remembrance Service, in conjunction with the Metropolitan Church of Northern Virginia (MCC NoVA), and various host communities.

What is The Transgender Day of Remembrance?
This is the day we remember our dead. Last year there were 41 individuals in this country who were killed while living their life as their authentic self. The remembrance service is traditionally held on November 20, 2023 which is a Monday this year, and will be held at 7:00 PM.

This year the service will be hosted at
Unity of Fairfax
2854 Hunter Mill Rd,
Oakton, VA 22124

2023 Stewardship Letter from Vice Moderator

MCC NoVA 2024 Stewardship Campaign
MCC of Northern Virginia began its Pledge Campaign Sunday, October 29
As of Sunday Nov 12, we have received:
11 Pledges for 2024 for a total of $50,000.
In order to maintain the facility and meet the financial obligations of your church as they currently stand,
MCC NoVA needs at least $99,500 for 2024.

This covers our ministry expenses, office expenses and utilities, our pianist, our part time pastor at 30 hours a week, our three unit facility here in downtown Fairfax as well as its maintenance. It is a testament to our church board that we are able to do so much with that budget!

But we would like to do more! We are needed and called to do more!
If you believe in the existence of affirming churches and denominations, and that they serve as an essential counterpoint to less affirming voices, then supporting their existence is necessary for their future.
This Church is YOUR church.
You are asked to prayerfully consider making a Pledge toward your Church’s operation and mission for 2024.
Your Pledge is just that: a hopeful estimate of what you believe you may be able to contribute next year. It’s a forecast, and like any forecast, you can change it at any point based on time and circumstance.

Your participation in this process is essential and will enable your Church to plan accordingly in preparing a budget for next year.

2024 Pledge Form

MCC NoVA’s Mission is to continue outreach and ministry to marginalized communities, and to be an LGBTIQQA+ Community Center in the Heart of Fairfax City.

Help us continue to make this real in 2024!
on-line giving

You may also mail a check directly to the church office:
The Metropolitan Community Church of Northern Virginia
10383 Democracy Lane
Fairfax, VA 22030

We are grateful for your continued generosity as we move forward into the future- a future with deep needs and boundless possibilities for our community!
Blessings and Thank You!
