Rev. Emma Chattin, Preaching: a long journey: PEACE
To Journey is fascinating. It is not simply movement from Point A to Point B, it is everywhere in between, and it is where everything happens! And there is almost always movement within, and some new life kicking around inside of us. And while many may wish to rush the journey, it is very often the journey that prepares us for the destination. CHURCH – What Does It Look Like? (updated 12/4)
Church work looks like many different things. It can look like liturgy, it can look like Bible Study, it can look like reaching out to connect with others.
On the week of November 21… it looks like this,
and the week of November 28… it looks like this.
What’s going on AROUND MCC NoVA?
(updated 12/3)
University One Development
The next time you visit MCC of Northern Virginia, the surrounding area will look very different. Construction of University One is under way and progresses daily. This is a development designed to house over 800 people, the vast majority being George Mason University Seniors and Graduate Students, along with a parking deck to accommodate over 700 vehicles.
LOOKING FORWARD and Getting Together –
Next Steps

Attendance in the facility during worship requires advance “check in”
to let us know you are coming. Why? Our Seating is limited.

There is physical distancing. Masks are required. We are also requesting folks be fully vaccinated (if that is an issue, please let me know). Until we have some better data, there will be no congregational singing. Finally, we are providing enhanced airflow and filtration (the motion of air reduces the risk of COVID-19 transmission).
While all reasonable safeguards are taken, there will always be some measure of risk, and each person will need to make their own determination as to what is best for them. SO GET READY! CHECK IN!
Let us hear from you!

Send an email to RevEmmaChattin@gmail.com with “I’ll Be There” in the subject line if you plan to attend as soon as the option is available. “Not Yet” if you are getting closer, but not quite there yet.
A big thank you to all who have responded thus far!
