Ash Wednesday is a somber day, a day when we intentionally face our mortality while we are alive, a day to remind us that there is still time to change our way, still time to redirect the path we’re on. It begins the 40 days of Lent, a time of reflection and preparation, symbolic of the time Jesus spent in the wilderness prior to beginning his ministry.
