The MCC NoVA Transformations Ministry will be hosting, along with the Transgender Education Association (TGEA) their annual Second Friday Holiday potluck and awards ceremony on Saturday, 15 December beginning at 7 pm here at the church. This year’s awardees will include a star of Amazon’s Transparent TV show and often quoted by Rev. Emma in Sunday services: Alexandra Billings. Also awarded will be Sean Bender-Prouty, who, at 14 years old served as Virginia’s first Trans/GNB Senate Page earlier this year, and who currently is the editor of LGBTeen magazine. You are cordially invited to attend, enjoy some wonderful potluck, and to hear inspirational messages from this year’s awardees.
