MCC NoVA votes – calls Settled Pastor

Today was the 36th Anniversary Sunday for MCC NoVA. There was also a Congregational Meeting to determine if the community felt ready to call a Settled Part-Time Pastor, and if so, if they wanted to call Rev Emma Chattin, who had been serving in a temporary capacity for the past 16 months. The congregation voted to call her, and she answered the call.
The new MCC NoVA Settled Part-Time Pastor is Rev Emma Lee Chattin.

From The Board: Congregational Meeting March 26

In September and October of 2015, it became clear that MCC NoVA could no longer support a full time Pastor. The facility was on the market for sale, and a number of options were on the table for discussion, including closure. Rev. Emma Chattin accepted the offer to become part-time temporary support pastor in November of 2015, and has served in that capacity since.
MCC NoVA has grown in many ways since that time, and the Board feels it is now in a position to consider the question: Are we ready to Call a part-time Settled Pastor? More specifically, are we ready to formally issue a Call to Rev. Emma Chattin, who has been serving in a temporary support capacity as our pastor since November 2015? This is the nature of the congregational meeting and vote. All of your questions and thoughts are welcome. Please contact Vice Moderator Frank Vance or any of the Board members: Jim Cullum, Jeanne Bennett-Bailey, Leigh Anne Arnold or Kris Miller.
