Greetings! Welcome to the virtual home of the Metropolitan Community Church of Northern Virginia (MCC NOVA). We are so glad that you found us online and hope this website will provide you with relevant information about who we are and what we are passionate about.

For more than 25 years, MCC NOVA has been a spiritual and community center for lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender persons, and queer-identified folks, as well as our families, friends, and allies, right in the heart of Fairfax.

Metropolitan Community Churches around the globe are engaging in life changing ministry and have a consistent record of speaking and acting boldly against faith-based discrimination and bigotry. MCC is often the only religious voice openly and courageously confronting human rights violations against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. And, even as more congregations become open or welcoming, MCC is often alone in being completely “out” and in unapologetically celebrating the fullness of LGBTQ lives and relationships.

At Metropolitan Community Church of Northern Virginia, we are devoting our energy and our resources to spirit, community, and action … inside & “out.” We are committed to creating a vibrant and adventurous spiritual community for all people, preparing for our work in the world through an, engaged, and growing spirituality that is relevant 24/7. That is why spiritual formation is one of our highest priorities. We also know that our tangible actions of loving service are the fullest expression of our core moral values. That is why we have increased our commitment to social justice outreach and building partnerships with other organizations providing services for the well being of our community and world.
